Who Can Request Us What We Do Where We Go How We Get Paid

How Wildland Fire Rescue (WFR) is Paid
As temporary US Federal Government Temporary employees, 'AD', we are paid an hourly wage without overtime, hazard, or as some acquire, Portal-to-Portal. We also receive no additional funds for the equipment or supplies we bring. A Crew Time Report (CTR) is completed each day and signed by the MEDL, SOF, DIVS, or LSC.

Upon demob from the assigned incident, we turn-in or fax a completed OF-288 "Red-dog" to the sponsoring home unit business office for payment through the payment center.
Performing our work in this manner, we are more cost-efficient while still providing high-quality care to the wildland firefighter.
For specialty stand-by services we work out payment arrangements depending on the event we are asked to staff. We guarantee we are the most affordable on the market within our service area. People's lives are dependent upon our quality of care and with that; we want you to have the best. |
